Care Center in Oberglabach

A safe home and opportunities for young people

On September 2, 2025, the Luxembourg Red Cross officially opened a new care center in Oberglabach (commune of Nommern) for children, adolescents, and young adults in psychosocial distress. The center offers young people protection, stability, and perspectives – far more than just living space.

Under one roof, the new facility combines three types of housing, tailored to age, life situation, and individual support needs:

  • Centre d’Accueil Norbert Ensch (CANE): For children and adolescents aged 4 to 18 who cannot temporarily live in their family environment.

  • Service Perspectives – Assisted Living: For young people aged 16 to 27 in psychosocial crisis, offering individual pedagogical guidance and support with school or vocational training.

  • Service Jugendwunnen – Assisted Independent Living: Seven individual apartments for particularly self-reliant young adults, with social-pedagogical support available flexibly according to needs.

The new center strengthens the connection between housing, care, and education, creating long-term opportunities for young people who need support to lead an independent life.

For the Luxembourg Red Cross, we were responsible for laying the foundation: the complete shell construction, including roofing, windows, and façade. A solid building that supports the daily life of the young residents requires precise execution and reliable quality.

We are proud to be part of this important social project.
